Armed Forces

OUR COMMITMENT TO THE SERVICE COMMUNITY

HB Automation Solutions Ltd recognises the contribution that Service personnel, regular and reservist, veterans and military families make to our organisation, our community and to the country. We have formally submitted our pledge to uphold the key principles of the Armed Forces Covenant.

Section 1: Principles of The Armed Forces Covenant

We will endeavour to uphold the following principles:

  • No Disadvantage: Members of the Armed Forces Community should not face disadvantages arising from their service in the provision of public and commercial services.

  • Special Provision: In some circumstances special provision may be justified, especially for those who have given the most, such as the injured or bereaved.

Section 2: Demonstrating our Commitment

We seek to uphold these principles through the following specific actions outlined in our pledge:

Promoting the Armed Forces

  • Dedicated Web Presence: Creating this dedicated page to showcase our commitment as a Veteran-Owned business.

  • Public Advocacy: Supporting events such as Armed Forces Day, Reserves Day, and the Poppy Appeal through our professional channels.

  • Logo Usage: We intend to display the Covenant and Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) logos once our status is formalised.

Internal Support and Mentorship

  • Reservist Commitments: Formally recognising the requirement for Reservists to attend training and providing flexible scheduling to accommodate these duties.

  • Technical Mentorship: Offering pro-bono technical mentoring and “insight sessions” to Service Leavers transitioning into Automation and AI.

  • Skills Translation: Using our expertise to help Veterans translate military experience into the technical language of the digital sector.

Commercial and Community Support

  • Defence Discount Service: Offering a 15% discount on initial automation Discovery Audits for the Armed Forces Community. For more info on this, please see here.

  • The ‘HB Automation Charity Sprint’: Committing to one pro-bono ‘Rapid Automation’ project per year for an Armed Forces charity to eliminate high-volume administrative tasks. This initiative includes a discovery audit and a bespoke automation flow designed to eliminate a high-volume administrative task. Our goal is to remove the “grime” of manual data entry, allowing your charity to focus more resources on frontline service delivery. To submit your request, please use the form located here.

  • Service-Aware Contracting: Ensuring service-related circumstances, such as short-notice deployment, are factored into contract negotiations.

Social Value

  • VCHA Advocacy: We advocate for better data automation and administrative support for Veteran-aware healthcare providers within the NHS to improve service delivery for the community.

Section 3: Signposting & Advocacy

We are committed to using our platforms to signpost the community to support services, including:
